... For the State Mr. Kutubuddin, learned Advocate appears on behalf of the State and submits a report as to the status of the present case in the Trial Court. The report is dated 5th September, 2022, let the same be kept with the record.

It is submitted and duly supported by the record that the petitioner has never been represented before this Court after filing of the present revision case in 2015. Mr. Kutubuddin is representing the State.

Hence, without wasting any further time, the matter is taken up for disposal.

This is a revision with the prayer to quash the proceedings of G.R. Case No. 291 of 2000 pending in the Court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Arambagh corresponding to Goghat Police Station Case No. 70 dated 17.05.2000 under Sections 147/148/149/326/307/427/379 of the Indian Penal Code and 9(b) (ii) of the I.E. Act and 25/27 of the Arms Act.

In view of the materials annexed with the revision in particular the order of the Court and the FIR, this Court is satisfied about existence of prima facie strong materials against the petitioner so far as his involvement in commission of the offence as alleged in the above stated police case. From the report submitted today in Court, it appears that the trial has already commenced.

On the observations as made above, petitioner's ground made out in the instant revision case is found to be not sufficient to ensure for him an order of this Court as he has prayed for. Instead, it is found that the revision is meritless. Hence, this revision is liable to be dismissed.

Accordingly, CRR 521 of 2015 is dismissed.

On the prayer made on behalf of the State, liberty is granted to collect a copy of the petition after compliance with the due formalities from the department.
