Ms. Bhattacharyya, learned advocate for the State respondents submits that the law does not mandate that the recruiting authority should keep the O.M.R. sheets and answer scripts for more than two years.

The District Magistrate, Murshidabad shall supply the following information to the petitioner. A) The cut off marks fixed by the selection committee in the process of recruitment to the post of Gram Panchayat Karmee for various gram panchayats vide notification no. 1171/P&RD dated July 26, 2016.

B) The marks obtained by the selected candidates preferably with the break up C) The marks obtained by the petitioner.

As the selection process of 2016 and the petitioner approached the authority under the Right to Information Act beyond the period of 2 years, if break up of all the candidates are not available, at least total marks obtained by the selected candidates may be disclosed.

The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of four months from the date of communication of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of.

There will be, however, no order as to costs. All parties are directed to act on the server copy of this order.
