..... petitioners Mr. Niladri Sekhar Ghosh, Advocate Ms. Laboni Sikder, Advocate ....for the petitioners Ms. Sukanya Bhattacharya, Advocate Ms. Trina Mitra, Advocate ....for the State
1. Parents-in-law of the victim seek anticipatory bail.
2. Husband is in custody.
3. Apparently, the victim committed suicide as transpiring from the Post Mortem Report. There is a statement recorded under Section 180 of the BNSS of the son of the victim who is aged about 7 years. In his statement, he implicates his father, the petitioners before us and the other relatives in assaulting the victim daily.
4. It is apparent from the statement of the son of the victim that, the petitioners before us were instrumental in torturing and assaulting the victim on a regular basis.
5. In such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.
6. This application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected. (Debangsu Basak, J.) (Smita Das De, J.)
