gd/ssd Mr. Pinaki Dhole ..for the State By this petition the petitioners have questioned the notification dated 18th April, 2018 issued for the purpose of recruitment to the post of Constable in West Bengal Police Services. The grievance raised by the petitioners in the writ petition was that the preliminary test and final written test for the post is provided only in two languages i.e. Bengali and Nepali ignoring English and Hindi languages.

Learned counsel for the State has informed that in pursuance to the impugned notification the selection process was already over and the appointments have been made.

In view of the subsequent development, nothing survives in this petition, which is, accordingly, dismissed.
