May 13, 2025 21 ARDR (Rejected) CRM (DB) 974 of 2025 In Re : An Application for bail under Section 483 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, filed in connection with Jagatballavpur Police Station Case No. 188 of 2024 dated 16/09/2024 under Sections 85/108 of the BNS.
And In Re :
Anarul Khan ... Petitioner.
Adv. Asit Nayek ... for the petitioner.
Adv. Manisha Sharma, Adv. Karan Bapuli, ...for the State.
The petitioner is the husband of the victim and is in custody for about eight months.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he is not responsible for the death of this wife. The petitioner prays for bail. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer and refers to the statement of the minor son of the victim recorded under Section 183 of the BNSS wherein the child has implicated the petitioner as the murderer of his mother.
Considering the gravity of the offence as well as material on record prima facie suggesting involvement of the petitioner in the alleged offence, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage. The application for bail is disposed of.
Case Diary be returned.
