A compliance report dated 21st December,2020 has been submitted by the S. I of Burrabazar P. S. pursuant to the order dated 13.03.2020 passed by this court through Mr. Arijit Ganguly, learned advocate for the State. Let such report be kept with the record.

I find that the report has been prepared on the basis of a further statement being recorded of one Puranjay Shaw, who was the complainant in the application under Section 156(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure which was treated to be the First Information Report of the case.

I have considered the narrations/allegations in the F.I.R which are private and personal in nature and neither any public issue or public money is involved. In view of the aforesaid, I am of the opinion that further continuance of the proceedings are unwarranted. As such, Burrabazar P. S Case No. 244 of 2019 dated 24.09.2019 under Sections 420/406/120B of the Indian Penal Code is quashed pursuant to the settlement arrived at between the parties.

Accordingly, CRR 945 of 2020 along with CRAN 1 of 2020(Old No. CRAN 1243 of 2020) is allowed. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all formalities.
