Learned advocate representing the petitioners submits that after filing of this writ petition FIR has been registered and a criminal prosecution being Bowbazar Police Station Case No.45 dated 19th March, 2026 was initiated under certain provisions of BNS, 2023. 3.

It is contended on behalf of the petitioners that grievance of the petitioners stands redressed. However, prayer is made to direct the concerned police authorities to expedite the investigation. 4.

State respondents and private respondents are represented by learned advocates.

Mr. Pantu Deb Roy, learned Additional Government Pleader representing the State respondents has filed a

communication dated 21st March, 2026 prepared by the Officer-in-Charge, Bowbazar Police Station, Kolkata and same is taken on record. Copies of the said communication dated 21st March, 2026 are made over to the learned advocates representing the petitioners and the private respondents.

In view of the submission made on behalf of the petitioners no further order need be passed on this writ petition.

Writ petition stands disposed of.

However, concerned police authorities are directed to expedite the investigation.
