Report submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be also kept with the record. The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that although Harwood Point Coastal P.S. Case No.

47/2025 dated 25.02.2025 was registered for investigation under Section 140(3) of BNS. In spite of the same, the petitioner's main grievance remains unfulfilled as till date his son could not be traced out.

Learned advocate appearing for the State has produced the case diary. Efforts have been taken by the local police station for tracing out the son of the de facto complainant and to that effect, they have been to Pune and also arrested persons for the sake of investigation.

However, having considered the nature of the offence as well as the allegations complained of, I am of the view that it would be fit and proper in the

present case that a specialised investigating agency be involved for the purposes of tracing out the victim and/or involvement of other persons is to be ascertained. Accordingly, for the interest of justice, Harwood Point Coastal P.S. Case No. 47/2025 dated 25.02.2025 is transferred to the CID, West Bengal. The ADG, CID, West Bengal will appoint an officer of his choice for continuation of the investigation of the present case. The present investigating officer would, if required, assist and aid the new investigating officer and the records be transferred immediately preferably within a week from date.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 6341 of 2025 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.

Case diary be returned to the learned advocate for the State.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
