Commercial quantity of codeine mixture was recovered from the joint possession of the petitioners who are father and son. In view of the restriction in Section 37 of the N.D.P.S. Act, we are not inclined to entertain the petitioners' prayer for bail.

CRM 2525 of 2021 is dismissed.

The petitioners say that they are in custody for about 400 days.

The State says that charge sheet has been filed and supplementary charge sheet has been filed upon obtaining Chemical Analysis Report.

The petitioners say that there are six witnesses mentioned in the chargesheet. The trial should be expedited. In view of the protracted detention of the petitioners, we request the learned Trial Court to make all efforts to expedite the trial to the extent possible and bring the same to its logical conclusion at the earliest and preferably, within a period of eight months from date.
