The petitioner prays for a direction upon Registrar, Co-operative Society to grant sanction for prosecution under Section 150 of the West Bengal Cooperative Societies Act, 2006.

The primary allegation of the petitioners is that the respondent no. 6 is running commercial business through the respondent nos. 4 and 5 at the subject premises.

The Cooperative Society could not have been used for commercial activity. The representation seeking sanction is pending consideration before the Registrar.

The instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Registrar Cooperative Societies to consider the request made by the petitioners in accordance with law, upon granting opportunity of hearing to all the necessary parties at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

A copy of the representation seeking sanction be forwarded to the aforesaid respondent at the time of communicating the order of the Court.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
