A sanction order has been issued by the Joint Director of Public Instruction.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that, pursuant to the said sanction order, the petitioner has already received a sum of Rs. 1,72,676/-. It is also admitted that the petitioner is currently receiving remuneration of Rs. 8,000/- per month. However, learned counsel for the petitioner contends that, although arrears have been granted with

effect from September 1, 2023, the petitioner ought to have been granted arrears with effect from June 1, 2009. This Court, however, did not direct, while disposing of the writ petition on August 30, 2023, that arrears be paid with effect from June 1, 2009.

In view of the above, I am unable to grant any further relief to the petitioner.

In my opinion, the order dated August 30, 2023 has been substantially complied with, since in terms of that order the petitioner's remuneration was fixed at Rs. 8,400/- per month on a pro-rata basis.

With regard to the claim for arrears from June 1, 2009, the petitioner shall be at liberty to take appropriate steps in accordance with law, if so advised.

Accordingly, CPAN 422 of 2024 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
