The writ petitioner claims that out of a land dispute with the adjacent residents, the writ petitioner lodged his complaint before the police authority on February 9, 2021. The grievance of the writ petitioner is that despite such complaint, the police authority failed to act in accordance with law.

Mr. Ashim Kumar Ganguly, learned advocate representing the State respondent submitted a report dated March 17, 2021 prepared by the Officer-in-Charge, Domjur Police Station, the same is kept on record. From the said report, it appears that the police authority, pursuant to the complaint made by the writ petitioner, registered the same and initiated prosecution under Section 116(3)/107 of the Code of Criminal Procedure

which is registered as Bankra O.P. NCR No.- 96/2021 dated March 11, 2021. Mr. Ganguly, on instruction, further submits that the police authority will take all the steps in the matter in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.

In view of the above, nothing more survives in this writ petition.

The present writ petition being W.P.A. 7076 of 2021 stands disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
