The writ petitioner no. 1 complains of inaction on the part of the Regent Park Police Station, despite complaint dated 12.03.2022 and 24.03.2022.

It is submitted that the private respondents are interfering with and obstructing construction of boundary wall within the premises of the petitioner no. 1.

Counsel for the private respondents submits that for about 70 years now, a club operated from the said premises, and that the petitioner no. 2, Secretary of the said club had unilaterally shifted the location of the club to another place. Counsel for the State submits that on the basis of the petitioners' complaint, Police Station Case No. 88 of 2022 dated 16.04.2022 under Sections 341, 323, 506 and 114 of the IPC has been registered. Let investigation into the said FIR be completed as expeditiously as possible.

This Court does not wish to enter into the civil dispute between the parties and the same may be thrashed out before an appropriate civil court.

However, Regent Park Police Station shall ensure that there is no breach of peace in the area and shall continue to keep strict vigil thereat.

In the event of any specific complaint as regards threat to the petitioners' life, appropriate steps may be taken by the concerned Police Station.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
