The petitioner was granted stage carriage permit by the Regional Transport Authority, Bankura for the route Nagri to Barjora via Shyambazar, Khatra, Bankura and Beliator under the jurisdiction of Bankura district which is valid till 30th May, 2027. The petitioner intends to ply his vehicle for a stretch of ten kilometers from Nagri to Durgapur City Centre within the jurisdiction of Paschim Bardhaman, in addition to the existing route for which the Secretary, RTA, Bankura requested the Secretary, RTA, Paschim Bardhaman for issuance of no objection certificate in favour of the petitioner. The petitioner submitted a representation before the RTA, Bankura on 16th January, 2023 for taking steps for issuance of no objection certificate by the RTA, Paschim Bardhaman, which is yet to be considered. The petitioner prays for a direction upon the

concerned authority to consider the representation at the earliest.

It is submitted on behalf of the respondents that the 6th respondent be directed to consider the representation in accordance with law.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 6th respondent to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 16th January, 2023 within one month from the date of communication of this order upon affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid directions, WPA 6319 of 2023 is disposed of.

There shall however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit in opposition is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to be admitted.
