The present writ application has been preferred praying for direction upon the Controlling Authority, Howrah to dispose of the gratuity case being no. 36 of 2023.

Learned counsel for the private respondent submits that the jurisdiction in this case will be Controlling Authority at Kolkata and not Howrah. Considering the said facts, the writ application is disposed of with the direction that the Controlling Authority, Howrah will dispose of the issue of jurisdiction after giving a hearing to the parties, within 15 days from the date of this order In case it is held that the Controlling Authority, Howrah has the jurisdiction, then the matter shall be concluded within 60 days thereafter

in accordance with law, by passing a reasoned order.

It is made clear that the point of jurisdiction also shall be decided by passing a reasoned order. WPA 6196 of 2025 is accordingly disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All connected applications, if any, stand disposed of.

Interim order, if any, stands vacated.

All parties to act on the basis of server copy of this order downloaded from the official website of this Court.
