1. The petitioners were arrested on 7th January, 2026. On completion of investigation, charge-sheet has been submitted on 18th February, 2026. The case is presently based on documents.

2. Prosecution has relied upon 14 witnesses in order to prove its case. Other accused persons have been granted bail.

3. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

4. Having regard to the time which will be consumed in taking the trial to its logical conclusion and the fact that other accused persons have been released on bail, I am of the view that further detention of the petitioners, being Indian, is unwarranted.

5. Accordingly, the application for bail of the petitioners, namely, Luftar Ali Mondal and Bappa Mondal is allowed.

6. As such, the petitioners shall furnish a bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand only) each, with two sureties of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kalyani, Nadia.

7. If on bail, the petitioners shall be physically present on each and every date before the learned Trial Court and shall not leave the district of Nadia without prior permission of the concerned Court.

8. Accordingly, C.R.M. (M) 712 of 2026 is disposed of.

9. All parties shall act on the basis of the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

10. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
