Though there was a previous direction by this Court under an order dated October 12, 2023 to the effect that the respondent no.4 shall file a short affidavit disclosing the reasoned order dated October 11, 2023, it is unfortunate that even today, the direction has not been complied with.

The writ petitioner appears in-person.

She places a copy of the reasoned order dated October 11, 2023, the same is taken on record. The petitioner further submits that she has received all her employment benefits as directed by this Court whatever she is eligible to receive in law. She has confirmed that she has no claim in both these writ petitions. She further claims the only interest on the delayed payment of gratuity since September 30, 2015

till the date of actual payment being August 17, 2016. She further claims interest on the delayed payment of arrear salary. This Court finds no reason to grant interest on the delayed payment of salary.

However, the petitioner shall be at liberty to make a representation before the jurisdictional District Inspector of Schools, Asansol claiming interest on delayed payment of gratuity.

In the event, such a representation is made, the jurisdictional District Inspector of Schools shall deal with and dispose of with reasons strictly in accordance with law positively within a period of three weeks from the date of receiving such representation.

With the above observation, these two writ petitions being WPA 6283 of 2017 and WPA 8322 of 2018 stand disposed of, without any order as to costs. (Aniruddha Roy, J.)
