1. This revisional application seeks expeditious disposal of an application filed by the opposite party under Section 7(1) and 7(2) of the West Bengal Premises Tenancy Act, 1997 (hereafter the said Act of 1997) in Ejectment Suit No.228 of 2022 pending before the learned Civil Judge (Junior Division), 5th Court, Alipore, South 24-Parganas.

2. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the suit was filed in the year 2022 and the applications were filed as far as back in March 2023. It is submitted that the same have been pending since then and the suit is accordingly getting delayed.

3. In view of the nature of the order proposed to be passed, prior service of notice of the revisional application along with a notice is not being directed, however, the petitioner shall remain obliged to serve a copy of the revisional application along with a copy of this order upon the opposite party within a week from date.

4. Having heard the learned advocate appearing for

the petitioner and having considered the material on record, this revisional application is disposed of by requesting the learned Civil Judge (Junior Division), 5th Court at Alipore to dispose of the applications under Section 7(1) and 7(2) of the said Act of 1997 filed in Ejectment Suit No.228 of 2022 as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of two months from the next date fixed without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.

5. CO 958 of 2026 stands disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
