1. The grievance of the petitioners is that the application of the petitioner no.1-Bank under Section 14 of the SARFAESI Act, 2002 has been kept pending by the concerned District Magistrate for an inordinate period beyond the statutory outer limit. It is further submitted by the bank on query of court that there is no injunction order or application under Section 17 of the SARFAESI Act, 2002 to impede the District Magistrate from passing such order.

2. Accordingly, WPA No. 6750 of 2024 is disposed of by directing the respondent no.2, that is, the District Magistrate, South 24 Parganas to dispose of the application filed by the petitioners under Section 14 of the SARFAESI Act, 2002 as expeditiously as possible, positively within four weeks from date.

3. There will be no order as to costs.

4. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
