The petitioner is the father. He seeks custody of the minor child, who is in custody of the mother. The petitioner also seeks police protection whenever he visits the child.

It is submitted that the petitioner approached the Child Welfare Committee and the Child Welfare Committee permitted the petitioner to visit his child. The prayer for interim custody or permanent custody of the child is not maintainable before this court. The petitioner has other remedies under the law. The petitioner is at liberty to take steps in accordance with law. 3.

Secondly, if the petitioner is threatened by the wife and her family members and his safety and security is compromised, the petitioner can always approach the local police. The prayers in the writ petition cannot be allowed by this court.

4. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of.

5. All the parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of the order.
