The petitioner complains that the Block Land & Land Reforms Officer, Basanti, South 24 Parganas has not complied with the order dated 16th January, 2020 passed by the West Bengal Land Reforms and Tenancy Tribunal (WBLRTT). He seeks intervention of the police in this regard since, according to him, the Block Land & Land Reforms Officer, Basanti, South 24 Parganas has not submitted any report to the WBLRTT, and the private respondents are taking advantage of the same and are carrying on construction.

This Court is of the view that the WBLRTT is capable of enforcing its own order under the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955. The police have no role to play in the matter. .

With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of reserving liberty to the petitioner to move the WBLRTT for appropriate relief. There will be no order as to costs.
