1. Affidavit-of-service filed by the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner is taken on record.

2. By filing this Public Interest Litigation the petitioner alleges that the land which has been classified as 'jal' to be used for the purpose of agricultural activities are being illegally converted and used for pisciculture. In this regard, representations have been given to the authorities and since the petitioner has not been informed about the action taken the writ petition has been filed.

3. The learned advocate for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner reliably understands that after the representation received an enquiry team has visited the land in question but he is unaware about what action has been taken.

4. We have requested Mr. Nilotpal Chatterjee, learned government counsel to accept notice on behalf of the respondent and his appearance may be regularised.

5. Since the writ petition is disposed of without calling for affidavits the allegations made in the writ petition are not gone into and it would suffice to direct the Magistrate, namely, the Sixth Respondent to consider the representation and would take action in accordance with law after notice to all concerned as expeditiously as possible preferably within three months from the date of receipt of server copy of this order.

6. With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of.
