Petitioner Mr. Kaushik Chowdhury, Advocate Ms. Bushra Khatoon, Advocate ......for the Petitioner Mr. Binay Panda, Advocate Ms. Puspita Saha, Advocate Ms. Rita Datta, Advocate ...... for the State (bail rejected) The petitioner has filed the instant application for bail in connection with Gangarampur Police Station Case No. 324 of 2020 dated 13.09.2020 under Sections 21(C)/27A of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

The petitioner has been apprehended in connection with the instant case upon recovery of 90 pieces of Yaba tablets conjointly with another co-accused. The earlier application for bail filed by the other co-accused stood dismissed by this Court. Charge-sheet has already been submitted and Chemical Examination Report has not yet been received.

Though according to the learned Advocate for the petitioner the quantity is intermediary but we do not thing, it is a fit case where the petitioner should be enlarged on bail. The prayer for bail is rejected.

The application being CRM 2559 of 2021 accordingly dismissed.

However, we direct the State to expedite the trial by collecting the Chemical Examination Report at an earliest. (Harish Tandon, J.) (Subhasis Dasgupta, J.)
