The petitioner approached Jadavpur Police Station for registration of the FIR against the respondent no. 3, who is the husband alleging commission of offences of criminal intimidation, physical and mental torture including physical assault and attempt to murder her.

Learned advocate for the State submits a report. The report reflects that after such information was furnished on 10.12.2023 and on 03.01.2024 she submitted another report and mentioned that she did not want to lodge any criminal case against her husband.

The report of the Officer-in-Charge of the Jadavpur Police Station further reflects that earlier two cases being Sonarpur Police Station Case No. 913 of 2015 and Hirapur Police Station Case No. 137 of 2014 was registered pursuant to the information furnished by the petitioner. Learned advocate for the respondent no. 3 submits that he is a school teacher and is being implicated in number of cases at the behest of the petitioner.

Having regard to the steps taken by the police authorities, I am of the view that the police authorities have taken steps adhering to the provisions of law, as such no interference is called for.

With the aforesaid observations, W.P.A. 6769 of 2024 is disposed of.

Pending applications, if any, is also disposed of. Report submitted by the State be kept with the record. Let the copy of the report be handed over to both the parties.
