In this writ petition, the petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking relief for direction upon the Principal Commissioner of Income Tax - 4, Kolkata, to dispose of his application dated 28th February, 2020 for stay of demand relating to assessment year 2017-2018 arising out of assessment order under Section 143(3) and direction upon the Commissioner of Income Tax Appeal concerned for speedy disposal of its appeal arising out of the aforesaid assessment order.

Considering the submission of the parties, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the Principal Commissioner - 4, Kolkata, to consider and dispose of the aforesaid application dated 28th February, 2020 by passing a reasoned and speaking order strictly in accordance with law after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner

or his authorised representative within four weeks from the date of communication of the order. Learned CIT Appeal concerned is also requested to consider for speedy disposal of the appeal in question pending before him. Accordingly, the writ petition being WPA No.5024 of 2020 is disposed of.
