It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he is in custody for about 534 days. Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits trial is in progress.

We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner is said to be a conspirator in the murder. His presence at the place of occurrence is prima facie established through electronic evidence i.e. Call Detail Records (CDRs). Three witnesses have already been examined. Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

The application for bail is thus rejected.

Trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date.
