1. Ms. Basu, learned advocate representing the petitioner submits that the present petition has been filed alleging inaction on the part of the concerned respondent for taking steps to renew his passport. She submits during the pendency of the writ petition, the passport has been renewed.

2. In view of the subsequent development, I am of the view that the present writ petition has become infructuous and accordingly the same is dismissed.

3. However, there shall be no order as to costs. (Partha Sarathi Chatterjee, J.)
