This is an application under section 24 CPC for transfer of the Matrimonial Suit No. 2234 of 2018 pending before the Learned 7th Additional District Judge at Barasat, (Previously Matrimonial Suit No. 394 of 2017 pending before the 3rd Additional District Judge , First Track at Barrackpur) to the Court of the learned Additional District and Judge at Sealdah or any other appropriate Court, on the ground that the respondent/wife is a practicing lawyer of Barasat Court and there is no lawyer to take up the case of the petitioner. At this stage, Mr. Ayan Banerjee, learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the opposite party/wife has been appointed as member of District Consumer Forum. Therefore, the application is not being pressed. Accordingly, the application under section 24 CPC be dismissed as not pressed.

However, it is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the trial court be directed to expedite the hearing of the case.

This aspect is left to the parties to the suit to address the trial court for expeditious disposal of the case.

CO 1069 of 2020 is disposed of.
