The petitioners submit that taking advantage of their insecure situation, the respondent Nos.7 and 8 tried to dispossess them from the lands in question. The allegation is that the petitioners were being forced to sell out the lands to the said respondents. The petitioners had also been threatened and intimidated.

It is specifically submitted by the respondent Nos.7 and 8 that the said respondents did not obstruct the petitioners from enjoying their land situated at LR Plot No.2206 measuring 40 decimal out of 111 decimal, in MouzaKasba Goas, JL No.61, under Police Station-Islampur, District-Murshidabad.

It does not appear that a proper complaint was ever filed before the Officer-in-Charge, Islampur Police Station. A representation was sent through the learned Advocate which was more in the nature of a demand of justice. Under such circumstances, nothing further is required to be decided in the writ petition. The police authorities shall keep a vigil in order to ensure that the petitioners are not disturbed in any way.

The writ petition is, thus, disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
