The petitioner is in custody for two months and six days and prays for bail.

Learned counsel for the defacto complainant submits that the defacto complainant does not intend to proceed with the complaint any further. Written instructions submitted by the defacto complainant is taken on record.

In view of the above, further detention of the petitioner is not required and he may be released on bail.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail is allowed.

The petitioner namely Khurshid Sardar @ Khurshid Alam Sardar be released on bail upon furnishing bond of Rs.2,000/- (Rupees two Thousand only), with one surety of like amount, to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Basirhat, North 24 Parganas.

The application for bail is disposed of.
