The petitioner by way of filing the public interest litigation makes an allegation against the 11th respondent/Pradhan of Bharatpur Gram Panchayat to the effect that a large-scale corruption and illegal practice has been adopted by the Pradhan and her associates in the concerned Panchayat. Further, it is stated that several other illegalities have been committed by the concerned Pradhan with her henchmen and defalcated the fund allotted for development of the local people. In the representation the petitioner has also mentioned about various tenders, which were allotted, which according to the petitioner are all illegal. Since the representation was given to the authorities on 20th February, 2023 it is appropriate for the authority to enquire into the matter. 2.
Accordingly, without going into the allegations made by the petitioner, we direct the District
Magistrate, Murshidabad to enquire into the matter, issue notice to all concerned including the 11th respondent, call for the records, examine as to the correctness of various tenders awarded by the said Panchayat Pradhan and if any illegality is found necessary action be taken in accordance with law. This direction be complied within twelve weeks from the date of receipt of the server copy of this order.

With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of.
