Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that there was a relationship between the petitioner and the victim. The petitioner is ready and willing to marry the victim.

Learned Advocate appearing for the State refers to the statement of the victim recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. She submits that the police came to learn that the petitioner is married. In her statement recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure the victim implicates the petitioner. The victim states that she was abducted by the petitioner and thereafter ravished.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner.
