Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that in spite of complaint case being AC Case No.2231 of 2021 filed in the year 2021, circumstances are created before the learned Magistrate by the accused so that the trial of the case is delayed. Having regard to the anxiety expressed by the complainant, I direct that in case an application under Section 143A of the Negotiable Instruments Act is filed before the learned trial court, the learned trial court would allow the same directing the accused person to deposit 20% of the cheque amount as an interim compensation. Learned trial court would fix at least one date in every two months so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. With the aforesaid observations, CRR 983 of 2023 is disposed of.
