The writ petitioner complains that the private respondents have forged a document to suggest that the petitioner has transferred certain property to third parties. There is a civil suit pending being T.S. No.121 of 2013 before the learned Civil Judge (Junior Division), Diamond Harbour, who has ordered status quo. Despite whereof, there are regular skirmishes between the parties. Learned counsel for the State has produced a report in the form of instructions dated 21.02.2022 issued by the Officer-in-Charge, Namkhana Police Station, Sundarban Police District addressed to the learned Government Pleader and the same is taken on record.

Learned counsel for the State submits that upon receipt of the complaint proceedings under Section 107 of the Cr.P.C. has been drawn up.

This Court is of the view that the police have taken appropriate steps in this matter.

However, Officer-in-Charge, Namkhana Police Station, Sundarban Police District shall maintain strict vigil in the said premises and ensure that there is no breach of peace.

Any further complains from either of the parties must be registered formally and will be investigated properly.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
