The subject matter of the present writ petitioner is the grievance of the petitioner regarding the inaction of the Regional Transport Authority, Bankura, which has allegedly sat tight over the issue of granting of Stage Carriage Permit to the petitioner.

Learned advocate for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is an applicant for stage carriage permit on the route from Sarenga to Bankura Gobinda Nagar Bus Stand. His application was considered by affording him opportunity of hearing on February 25, 2025. Allegedly, since thereafter no decision has been made as regards the fate of the application for issuance of permit. Hence, the petitioner had written a letter dated February 25, 2025 which also has yet to receive any attention of the respondent authority.

Mr. Sen, learned advocate is appearing for the State respondent.

Having heard the submissions and perusing the materials on record, the Court is inclined to dispose of the writ petition by directing the Regional Transport Authority, Bankura to immediately consider the petitioner's representation dated February 25, 2025 and dispose of the same by dint of a reasoned order within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of

this order, unless an offer letter is issued immediately to the writ petitioner.

In that case its order be communicated to the petitioner, within a period of one week, from its date.

The writ petition is disposed of.

Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.

Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
