The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher at Bajarpore Ramkrishna High School (H.S.), District: Purba Medinipur, he applied for general transfer under the " Utshashree Portal".

Mr. Ray, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that though the Portal is under suspension and well before such suspension, the application of the petitioner had reached to the West Bengal Central School Service Commission. He prays that the Commission may be directed to dispose of the said application.

The petitioner is seeking general transfer inter alia on the grounds that the distance between his residence and the school is more than 50 kilometers and that his wife is suffering from gynecological and liver disorders.

The grounds are not convincing enough to entertain the prayer of the petitioner for general transfer, as such WPA 6939 of 2024 is dismissed without any order as to costs.
