It appears that out of 39 applicants eight were found eligible for grant of benefits under the Destitute Minority Women's Rehabilitation Programme.

WPA No.77 of 2022 was filed by four aggrieved persons whose benefits had been denied. During the pendency of the writ petition it was found that one of the claimants/writ petitioners was eligible as per the enquiry conducted by the Three Men Committee. The Court directed that the other writ petitioners in WPA No.77 of 2022, namely, the petitioner nos.1, 2 and 4 must be given a hearing by the committee which had been constituted to make an enquiry in order to assess the living conditions of the applicants.

The learned advocate for the petitioners submits that the writ petitioners in the present writ petition are included

in the list of those 31 applicants who were found ineligible for the benefit under the concerned scheme.

Under such circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of with the following direction:- a) The petitioner nos.1 to 17 shall approach the Block Development Officer, Mathurapur-I Block for redressal of their grievances, by filing proper representations.

b) The three men committee shall make a spot inspection in the presence of the petitioners, in order to assess their living conditions and to ascertain whether they were living in a destitute condition. c) The eligibility of the said petitioners shall be decided on the basis of the findings during the inspection.

d) A report shall be prepared and handed over to the petitioners.

e) Reasoned orders shall be passed in respect of each petition upon hearing the petitioners. Such orders shall be communicated to all concerned.

The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of communication of this order.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. However, there will be no order as to costs.

All the parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
