On the prayer of the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners, leave is granted to correct the cause title and the prayer portion of the revisional application. Let a copy of the revisional application be served upon Mr. Tanmoy Kumar Ghosh and Ms. Puspita Saha, learned counsels, who ordinarily appear on behalf of the State. They are requested to appear in this matter. Their engagement may be regularised by the competent authority of the State in due course. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits as follows. The petitioners are the accused in this case. An F.I.R. was lodged on 18.12.2011. A charge sheet was submitted in 2012. On 30.09.2015 a date was fixed for framing of charge. However, charge could be framed only in 2021. Not a single witness has been examined till date.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that State would not come in the way if a direction is passed for an expeditious disposal of the proceeding.

I have heard the submissions of the learned counsels appearing for the petitioner and the State and have perused the revision petition.

No prejudice will be caused to anyone if a direction is passed to expedite the proceeding.

It appears that an inordinate delay has been occasioned in concluding the trial, especially considering the fact that the F.I.R. was lodged on 18.12.2011.

In view of the above and in the interest of justice, the learned Trial Court is requested to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to any of the parties, preferably within one year from the next date of hearing.

With these observations, the revisional application is disposed of.
