W.P.A. 7348 of 2021 (Guddu Shaw vs. CESC & Anr.) Mr. Indranil Halder .... For the Petitioner Ms. Sumouli Sarkar .... For the CESC The grievance of the petitioner is directed for restoration of an electricity connection which has been disconnected by the CESC. It is submitted on behalf of the CESC that the electric connection of the petitioner has been lying disconnected for a period of one year. The petitioner under extant regulation has to make a fresh application for electricity connection. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner is ready and willing to make payment of all outstanding dues of the CESC.

In view of Regulation 4.6.1 the petitioner is directed to make a fresh application for electricity connection and comply with all formalities including payment of all outstanding dues within a period of one week from date. If such application is made, the CESC is directed to consider the same in accordance with law and provide a fresh electricity connection to the petitioner upon compliance with all formalities within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of such application.

With the aforesaid directions, W.P.A. 7348 of 2021 is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
