W.P.A. 7350of 2021 (Avimanu Shah vs. CESC & Anr.) Mr. Indranil Halder .... For the Petitioner Ms. Smita Pal .... For the CESC The grievance of the petitioner pertains to the failure of the CESC to provide electricity connection.

CESC is represented and submits that upon inspection they have ascertained that this is a case of splitting of load. It is also submitted on behalf of the CESC that the subject premises is a dilapidated building and there are several tenants who are enjoying electricity connection through a common meter. In view of the fact that this is a case of splitting of load, the petitioner is directed to approach the OMBUDSMAN within a period of two weeks from date. If such application is made before the OMBUDSMAN, the OMBUDSMAN is requested to dispose of the said application within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of such application upon giving a right of hearing to all the affected parties and pass a reasoned order.

With the aforesaid directions, W.P.A. 7350 of 2021 is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities. (Ravi Krishan Kapur, J.)
