The petitioner is a student of Bangabasi Morning College, Kolkata, a college under the University of Calcutta, he is pursuing B.A.

course in the said college. The petitioner is not satisfied with the result of English 1st paper of the 6th Semester in the said course.

The petitioner is praying that the copy of the answer script for the said paper be provided to him and the same may be assessed by an expert.

Mr. Nilotpal Chatterjee, learned Advocate for the University submits that the petitioner would be provided with the copy of the answer scripts for English 1st paper of the said course but his prayer for appointment of an expert for re-assessment of the said answer script cannot be entertained particularly when he has not applied for review.

The Controller of Examination, University of Calcutta, the respondent no.4 herein is directed to provide copy of the English 1st paper answerscripts of the petitioner to him upon production of the admit card within a period of seven days from date. The petitioner is to take steps accordingly.

WPA 6405 of 2025 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.

Since no affidavit has been invited, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.

Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
