The petitioners pray for expeditious disposal of a certificate case which is pending before the Certificate Officer, Barrackpore being the SubDivisional Officer, Barrackpore, North 24 Parganas.

It appears that the certificate case being No.532/1(2)-HIRA/1C-29/2020 under the Bengal Public Demands Recovery Act, 1913 was initiated way back in the year 2021 but till date the same has not been disposed of.

Learned counsel for the State respondent is not ready with proper instruction as to why there is so much delay in disposal of the subject certificate case.

It appears that the petitioners obtained an order from the competent authority in the year 2020 and put the same into execution, but till date the petitioners are unable to enjoy the fruits of their success.

In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Sub-Divisional Officer

being the Certificate Officer, Barrackpore to take prompt necessary steps to conclude the aforesaid certificate case in accordance with law at the earliest but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order.

Affidavit of service is taken on record.

All parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this court.

Certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be made available to the parties.
