The petitioner claimed that everywhere in the academic records, the Date of Birth of the petitioner is correctly mentioned as October 10, (10.10.1963). The admit card of the petitioner for the relevant Madhyamik Pariksha (Secondary Examination) also mentioned as such. However, the certificate of Madhyamik Examination records the Date of Birth of the petitioner as September 10, 1963.

The mistake is apparent.

The respondent-Board is directed to carry out the necessary correction in the certificate of the Madhyamik Examination of the petitioner correcting the Date of Birth as October 10, 1963 (10.10.1963) upon compliance of the formalities by the petitioner. Such correction shall be made and effected positively within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

With the above direction, this writ petition WPA 5225 of 2020 stands allowed, without any order as to costs.
