Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was not named in the first information report. The police filed charge sheet and, therefore, custodial interrogation of the petitioner is not required. Learned advocate for the State refers to the content in the case diary. He submits that the petitioner is involved in the offence of smuggling of cattle across international border. Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein as transpiring from the materials in the case diary, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
Prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected. CRM (A) 1632 of 2022 is dismissed.
