The petitioner's representation requesting shifting of the position of the water tank to be constructed is pending consideration before the Chandannagar Municipal Corporation.

None represents the Chandannagar Municipal Corporation.

In the absence of the Corporation it is not possible for the Court to decide the issue conclusively. 5.

As it appears that the application of the petitioner is pending consideration before the Corporation, accordingly, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Mayor, Chandannagar Municipal Corporation to take necessary steps to consider and dispose of the petitioner's request in accordance with law, after giving reasonable opportunity of hearing to all the necessary parties by passing a reasoned order to be communicated to the parties.

Steps shall be taken in the matter at the earliest but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order. 7.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
