Ms. Sibangi Chattopadhyay ... for the petitioner.

Ms. Jonaki Saha ... for the State.

Cheques issued by the petitioner were dishonoured on presentation.

Petitioner is unable to make good the proceeds of the cheques despite time being taken for such purpose.

Materials in the case diary suggest requirement of investigation.

Enlarging the petitioner on anticipatory bail will be inimical to such investigation.

In such circumstances, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

C.R.M. (A) 892 of 2024 is dismissed.
