1) Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

2) On behalf of State respondents a communication dated 23rd March, 2026 of the Inspector of Police, Bhatpara Police Station, Barrackpore Police Commissionerate is placed before this Court and same is taken on record.

3) It is stated in said communication dated 23rd March, 2026 that based on the complaint of the petitioner a case was registered being Bhatpara Police Station Case No. 02/26 dated 2nd January, 2026 under certain provisions of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

4) It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that there is no considerable progress in the investigation.

5) As the case was registered being Bhatpara Police Station Case No. 02/26 dated 2nd January, 2026, concerned police authorities are directed to expedite the investigation and submit final report at an early date.

6) However leave is granted to the petitioner to approach the jurisdictional Magistrate, if petitioner is aggrieved by action or inaction on the part of the police authority.

7) Writ petition stands disposed of.

8) Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking.
