Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

Grievance of the petitioner is concerned police authorities were not taking steps based on the complaint dated 26th August, 2025 prompting the petitioner to approach this Court with the present writ petition, inter alia, praying for direction upon the concerned police authorities to take steps.

Learned advocate representing the State respondents has filed a communication dated 30th March, 2026 of Inspector of Police, Rahara Police Station, Barrackpore Police Commissionerate and same is taken on record. Copy of the communication dated 30th March, 2026 is made over to the learned advocate representing the petitioner.

On perusal of the said communication dated 30th March, 2026, it is found that based on the complaint
[2] of the petitioner one criminal prosecution being Rahara P.S. Case No.252 dated 26th August, 2025 under certain provisions of BNS was initiated and one Sub-Inspector of Rahara Police Station was entrusted to investigate the case.

Steps taken in course of investigation by the Investigating Officer are also disclosed in the said communication dated 30th March, 2026.

In view of registering of FIR by the concerned police authorities and initiation of investigation in connection with Rahara P.S. Case No.252 dated 26th August, 2025, writ petition stands disposed of directing the police authorities to take the investigation to its logical conclusion.

However, petitioner shall be at liberty to take steps, in accordance with law, if occasion so arises.
