Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner renews his prayer for bail solely on the ground of his detention for more than thousand days. Learned counsel submits that only four out of twenty-five witnesses have been examined so far. Learned counsels for the State and the defacto complainant oppose the prayer.

I have considered the material on record.

Bail prayer of the petitioner was turned down on merits earlier. Sufficient prima facie material has transpired against the petitioner in course of investigation. Offences, if proved, shall attract mandatory life imprisonment.

In view of the above, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage. The application for bail is disposed of.
