Report dated 09.05.2025 submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be kept with the record. A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. Pursuant to the direction dated 11.04.2025, police authorities took appropriate steps and the report today submitted on behalf of Superintendent of Police, Baruipur Police District reflects that on 16.04.2025, the warrantee was arrested;

on 17.04.2025, a transit remand prayer was presented before the Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Additional Sessions Judge, Cuttack, Orissa and on 18.04.2025, the arrested warrantee was produced before the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Baruipur. Having regard to the steps which have been taken by the police authorities, I am of the view that the purpose for which the writ petition was preferred has been subserved.

Accordingly, the writ petition being WPA 6476 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
